The hotel is spotlessly clean and upscale. The staff is extremely friendly and excellent. The property offers a variety of outstanding food. It has a perfect location right by Miramar, with a Chinese restaurant next door and ASIA MARKET nearby. Every time we visit San Diego, we choose to stay here.

Helpful and genuinely friendly staff. In fact all aspects of the hotel that was the responsibility of the on site manager were certainly above average. It is a hotel we would choose again if in town for almost any reason from business meeting to weddings. It is centrally located, yet enough off the well traveled path to allow some element of quiet and privacy.

The room service menu is terrible. Either provide the service or scratch it. There can be no in between. A little more money for decent pillows would be well spent. Warn guests that you are hosting members of youth organizations. If they are guests who are "early to bedders" the pool noise is something they may want to condiseration. The breakfast was excellent, more staff could be utilized for this perk.

Recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. As an Elite Platinum member, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a pool view room. The décor and bathroom amenities were top-notch, and the towels were neatly stacked in a separate drawer. The breakfast spread was delicious and reasonably priced, with kids eating free. Though we had a few minor gripes, such as the textured ceiling and the lack of complimentary breakfast for Elite Platinum members, these were outweighed by the overall positive experience. The hotel also provided a convenient water dispensing machine and to-go boxes for breakfast. The location was great and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. we highly recommend this upscale and nice hotel for anyone visiting San Diego.

I picked the Holiday Inn because of its location. We have family in San Diego and it was convenient for our visit. The room was nice and clean. The staff were very helpful. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Someone, either next door on either side (we had room 205) had a dog that would start barking each morning at approximately 7:30. I found this to be very annoying.
